International Study Programme (ISP) in the area of Business Administration and Computer Science

Semester at DHBW Stuttgart

This programme is designed for exchange and study abroad students who wish to study at DHBW Stuttgart for one or two semesters. Courses are available either in English or in German.

Students can choose from the International Study Programme or from the Regular Study Programme.

Please note that the classes of the International Study Programme may change depending on the number of applicants for the specific class.

The final list of regular courses in English is available approx. one week before the semester starts.

Courses in German

Students who consider taking curriculum classes taught in German need to check the information of the respective department on the German website and contact the International Office.

Requirements

Language Requirements

Exchange students can choose from any classes DHBW Stuttgart offers according to their language ability:

  • Students who wish to take regular curriculum classes in English need to prove their knowledge of English before arrival in Stuttgart (B2 Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR)).
    Native English speakers are exempted.
  • Students who wish to take classes taught in German need to have the equivalent of B2 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

ECTS & General Requirements

Average work load per semester is 25 ECTS, maximum 30 ECTS per semester. 1 credit (ECTS) = 30 hours of work. The minimum number of credits exchange students are required to take ist 5 ECTS. If students wish to take more credits, they must contact the International Office.

Grading system

  • 1.0 - 1.5 Very good
  • 1.6 - 2.5 Good
  • 2.6 - 3.5 Satisfactory
  • 3.6 - 4.0 Pass
  • 4.1 - 5.0 Fail
