Digital Consulting Services – Prototypes and Portal
Management consultants support their customers on the path of digitization. For themselves - as studies prove - they see little or no need for change with regard to the digitization of their business models. This raises the following questions: Will the consultant (and possibly also other professional service providers) still be needed with advancing digitization? And if so to what extent? And what about the disruptive digital consulting services that replace the consultant - at least partially? The present book and the associated material give some answers to these questions and were developed by students of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Stuttgart under the guidance of the editor of this book as part of a project seminar. Each chapter of the book describes a digital consulting service in a comprehensible way. The business-to-business (B2B) sector is in the focus. For each service the purpose is described by “user stories”, the service is sketched by short film sequences or a variety of pictures and the marketing and sales process is outlined by a customer journey. The corresponding pictures, sequence of screenshots or film sequences can be accessed by hyperlinks and are also saved on the same storage device as the present e-book. Further on, a prototype of a portal for such services is outlined.

Consulting Self-services – A Multi-project Management Application
Consulting self-service applications are the type of digital services where consulting know-how is condensed in easy to use apps that require no or only small involvement of consultants in a project. App users at the client’s company are enabled to solve problems in their company on their own by using professional and practice-proofed procedures implemented in the app. This article shows how such an application for (multi-) project management is working. It offers easy access to a consulting service reference model in project management by dividing the model up into several phases, and every phase into several steps. Every step is supported by a variety of tools and templates, e.g. based on Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. The future role of the consultant is discussed as well as the approach for the development of consulting self-service applications.

Informationssicherheit-Tool
Cyberkriminalität, wie z.B. Datendiebstahl, Datenmissbrauch und die Gefahr wiederholter Hackerangriffe gehören bereits heute zu den Top Five der Geschäftsrisiken – die Tendenz ist deutlich steigend. Viele dieser Angriffe auf Unternehmensdaten werden jedoch im Hinblick auf Reputationsrisiken nicht publik – die Dunkelziffer ist immens hoch. Jedes Unternehmen tut gut daran, geeignete Maßnahmen zum Schutz der Informationssicherheit, insbesondere jedoch zum Schutz der „Kronjuwelen im Unternehmen“ zu ergreifen. Das ist nicht nur erfolgskritisch, sondern unter Umständen überlebenswichtig. Informationssicherheit kann nur durch eine integrierte Betrachtung der technischen, organisatorischen und menschlichen Aspekte effektiv und effizient gewährleistet werden. In der Flut an Struktur- und Detailinformationen über Informationssicherheit ist es gerade für kleinere und mittelständische Unternehmen schwierig, eine konkrete, umsetzungsnahe Anleitung für die Implementierung geeigneter Maßnahmen zu finden. Das vorliegende Buch und das zugehörige Tool schließen diese Lücke. Durch Kombination und vor allem durch Priorisierung innerhalb der wesentlichen Standards der Informationssicherheit, liefern Buch und das zugehörige Tool ein strukturiertes Vorgehen und zugehörige Vorlagen für die Umsetzung von Schutzmaßnahmen im Unternehmen.
